4 Day Mount meru Climbing is an active composite volcano located 70 kilometres (43 mi) west of Mount Kilimanjaro in the nation of Tanzania. At a height of 4,565 metres (14,977 ft), it is visible from Mt Kilimanjaro on a clear day,[ and is the ninth or tenth highest mountain in Africa. 4 Day Mount Meru.
4 day Mount Meru Climbing Itinerary.
Day 1: Hike Momella Gate to Miriakamba Hut.
After breakfast drive to Momela gate Mount Meru is inside Arusha National Park which will allow you to see animals like buffalo, white colobus monkey, giraffe, Baboons, Warthogs and a number of Bird life. picnic lunch with you , you will start the ascend to the first hut Miriakamba Hut, The walk takes 4-5 hours through the dense rain forest, Dinner and overnight at Miriakamba Hut. alt. (2750mts.) 4 Day Mount Meru.
Day 2: Hike Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut.
After breakfast with picnic lunch starts ascend to Saddle Hut alt. 3750m. The hut is between the two peaks of Mount Meru Little Meru and Big Meru. The walk takes 4 to 5 hours, today if you wish you can discuss with your Guide so you can have hot lunch as a substitute of packed lunch. In the afternoon you will have an acclimatization walk to little Meru, then back to saddle hut for dinner and overnight. 4 Day Mount Meru.
Day 3: Hike Saddle hut to the Summit down to Saddle hut.
After a cup of coffee at 1 am or 2 am, start to climb to summit which is 4566m. The ascend takes 5 to 6 hours, you will be able to see Mount Kilimanjaro from top as well as Arusha town and Meru Crater but only if the sky is clear. After a short celebration descend to saddle hut for lunch, then proceed to Miriakamba for dinner and overnight.
Day 4:Hike Saddle hut to Momella Gate to Arusha.
After breakfast you will keep descending towards the gate where you will meet a transferring driver. At the gate you will sign out and obtain your Mount Meru certificate then you will drive back to Arusha where you will have a long and warm shower after a tiring mountain. The rest of the day is free to rest while enjoying a glass of wine, relax at the pool or celebrate your achievement.

Day 5: Departure.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport or shuttle bus stand for your next destination.
